- Although I never got into Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series, I did enjoy the Aurora Teagarden mysteries. So I decided to give her Harper Connelly series a try.
Harper is a supernatural detective. After a lightening strike in her youth gives her the ability to find dead bodies, Harper makes a living by giving families closure when she finds their loved ones when all others have struck out.
I find the mystery well plotted, the characters believable and the storylines just morbid enough that they don’t gross me out. All n all a satisfactory October selection.1 Comments 0 Shares - Robert Galbraith’s (aka JK Rowling) newest addition to the Cormoran Strike series is my September listen. I don’t think it’s her best work. The language is a bit stilted as much of it is in the format of Twitter tweets being read. Perhaps it would read more smoothly. Mystery plot is good. Romance plot seems a bit forced…Will these two kids ever get together? Overall as an audiobook it’s just ok. They don’t want the cover art out yet I guess.0 Comments 1 Shares

I like Sue Monk Kidd. I can’t believe I hadn’t already read this. Plus I’m on a roll with the series by Evanovich. I have everyone of her number books and usually laugh out loud. Now the last several just keep getting shorter and shorter and not so funny. I am not going to buy the new one that just came out. Instead I have a hold on it from the library in audible form. I hope I like it but generally I don’t after I already have the people sounding the way I want them to in my mind!8 Comments 0 Shares - https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51W6TGqufgL.SX316.SY480._SL500_.jpg
