Son #4 wore my Malabrigo mittens out to play in the snow. They're not completely destroyed, but the cabling is well, not as sharp as it once was. I am repurposing this yarn as it was a shawl that I never wore. I'm hoping the yak and rayon blend will make for warm mittens.

Super easy pattern, mostly knitted at soccer practices and games. Finished up during a strong case of finish-itis.

Making for next-door neighbor who has 2 little boys and is expecting a little girl.
Girl - buttonholes on right side, buttons on left. Shank buttons, so am applying with a crochet hook onto the 4th st from the end of the needle. At the beginning of the button row, I slip 1, k2, yo, k2tog, k across to last 4 st, apply button then k, k2, p1.
Button rows will be every 4th ridge. May only do 3. We'll see.
