Happily married, mother of two. I have been knitting for 10 years now, and am becoming interested in natural dyeing. I am a yoga practitioner, avid reader, and artist; and love the outdoors. I have 3 large dogs, 3 cats and a lizard.

    • This is the coolest sock I've made yet. Second one is on the needle now. Can't wait until my husband has the set.

I had to rework the pattern (my husband has large feet, but rather slim/sinewy ankles) and decreased the starting stitches. The yarn is sock serama from Chicken Lady Fiber Arts, all American made yarns!

    • As some may remember. I shared the tragic damage done to a gift I gave my mom for Christmas. Well, here are the repair photos. I was able to pick up the stitches on either side of the damaged section, cut it out, and reknit it. I put it back together with a three needle bind off. So proud of myself! Feel like only a knitter would be able to tell the part is any different.

    • A success, a disaster and a snow day. On my 3rd pair of socks (ever!) and very first adult sock. Loving the color combination. My mom's shawl got caught by my sister's dog - I'm pretty sure I can fix this! And my girls had a super good snow play with the sled the eldest got for Christmas. First time they got to use it. 🙂🩷

    • Finished my second As You Wish shawl from Lyrical Knits. The red is mine, which I madeast year, the blue is one I made for my mother. I spent a LOT of that knitting time thinking about how grateful I am to her, that I am alive and what values she raised me with. I could tell I had learned a lot from the process, the second one came out much cleaner knit.

    • Lol, just yesterday I purchased around $200 in yarn with my sweet husbands happy approval; today, unbeknownst to him, I just purchased $75 more. He requested a creepy Christmas Stocking of his design almost two years ago, and I finally found the perfect yarn and feel proficient enough to do it. So, I got the yarn for his project and one skein of undyed wool to fulfull my new years resolution of making an item from my own natural dyeing wool. 🤫 I doubt he'll mind, but it is still a surprise. Probably won't be buying yarn for a while.

    • Hi everyone 🙋‍♀️ hope you all are enjoying a blessed Sunday. I have been merrily enjoying a knitting day, with some of my favorite podcasts, and heard mention of a Let Them Live MAL. Apparently letthemlive.org is a foundation that helps expecting mothers financially and act as mentors, as an alternative to abortions. As I hadn't heard about this I wanted to share this in case anyone wanted to join me in this project. You can learn more here:

    • I have been experimenting with designing. This is some pajamas I made for my daughter's doll Pinkie. Techniques I used include double knitting, w&t and three needle bind off. It was a great deal of fun, and now has yellow buttons and is fully woven in on the ends.

    • I'm so happy ❤️ I am in the process of purchasing our first home. The seller has accepted our offer, and the inspection is due for tomorrow. If everything goes smoothly I will get to see my husband for the first time in a month, and be in my new home end of August.

    • I was watching "These Little Ones" on Rumble last night and was so distraught. I haven't had this poor of sleep since my brother passed away in February. It's a documentary about child trafficking. I knew it was going to upset me, but some things have to be seen, you can't fight evil with ignorance.
