Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek and stash yarn

      Chunky

I am using this pattern as a guide. My daughter needs a red sweater for Christmas. I had a bunch of unnamed red yarn sitting in my stash. I decided to cast on the red. She suggested it should be color block. Went to Hobby Lobby, she chose creamy white.

1/16/22 The pattern suggests to knit it in pieces; front, back and arms. I didn't want to purl, so I knit under the arms in the round, now I have split for sleeves and started up the back. I even contemplated steeking it, so I wouldn't have to purl... but I'm not sure how steeking in Acrylic would work.

I was home sick for a couple of days, so I cast these slipper socks on. I didn't read the instructions all the way through, so the pattern on the slippers isn't to pattern, but they knit up well and I like them. I plan on knitting up another pair and I'll follow the directions. We will see how they fit. I'll try to get pic posted tonight

11APR21 frogged the project... will start again when i can stop being upset at it. The problem was, I ran out of my handspun, i ordered 2 types of yarn in hopes it would match... I was wrong...I should have posted a pic before it ripped it out. I think I'll have enough yarn if I rework the colorwork. Plus the way I did it, the colorwork didn't have enough contrast. I'll be happier with the new idea, I hope.

I made 5 hats. One has already been gifted.

My guage was about 4 stitches/ inch
      3 sizes of hats
Cast on 84 / 80 / 76, 1 inch of 2k2p ribbing, knit till the hat measured 5.5 in, then started to reduce evenly.

Inspired by Andrea Rangel's formula from her book AlterKnit Stitch dictionary.

11/21/21 - Ends woven in. The neckline was way too big, didn't stay on my shoulders. I single crocheted and decreased around the neckline to cinch it up. It stays on my shoulders, but I think I could do one more row to tighten it up a bit.

4/30/21 - body and ribbing completed in size 6 needles.
      Picking up the sleeves

1/22/20 - Cast on 204 stitches on size 4 needles.
I used size 6 for yoke, but didn't care for the fabric. So I bumped the yoke up to 8's. I think I will drop to 7 when I get to on the body. We shall see.

Stash reduction... I'd originally purchased this yarn to make Minion hats for Christmas on year... about 10, for all the nieces and nephews and my children. The yarn is very stringy and tough to hide the ends, thankfully I haven't' seen it in the stores. Sadly I don't have the bands to tell you what brand it is.

the 2 in the front are the Madison's Hat. I did both baby & Toddler sizes. My gauge must have been very off, since the toddler hat, blue & white, fits my family best.

I was trying helical knitting with the one in the back, cast on 72 stitches... too big for a beanie.

They will be finding a new home at one of our local charities.

      Multi

Just trying to reduce the stash.... out with the old... so I can bring in the new.

I'll post different patterns and techniques here, when I have more time.

The Mandala hot pad, orange, yellow and cream, I found the diagram on pinterest… the web address is http://qscrochet.blogspot.com/2015/09/mandale-na-zimno.html

The lavender/purple square hot pad was just chain and single crochet all the way around the chain, single crochet till folds in and makes a square, then bind off with single crochet.
      Purple/yellow/white...SC, CH1 repeat
Purple/white/green/yellow... Grille Stitch: SC, DC. SC in the DC and DC in the SC.

Black & Red was a bag I started quite a while ago... so I'm improvising as I go along. I think I'll try to incorporate the rest of the colors thru the rest of the bag.
